TFT Set 13 Tactician’s Cup:
A motion kit rooted in Arcane’s rich and tension-filled visual universe.

Context

To mark the launch of Teamfight Tactics – Set 13, Riot Games set out to deliver a visual campaign worthy of its universe: Into the Arcane, inspired by the acclaimed Arcane series. This new set introduced iconic champions (Vi, Mel, Viktor…) along with a more narrative-driven art direction and an urban atmosphere infused with magic and tension.

The launch coincided with the Tactician’s Cup, the season’s major esports event, bringing together the world’s top players. The goal was twofold: to ensure a strong visual consistency across all communication formats, and to build excitement around a high-stakes competition with a $150,000 prize pool.

Solution

NOBL designed a complete visual motion kit to support Riot in this esports campaign, grounding the graphic identity in the dark, vibrant world of Arcane. The creative starting point: the Anomaly, or Corruption, an unstable, organic force at the heart of the series. This visual matter shifting, tentacular, almost alive, shaped the entire aesthetic of the kit: deconstructed forms, controlled glitches, distortions, and corrupted typography.

The key visual features the central champions of the set (Viktor, Warwick, Mel), immersed in a world visibly altered by the Anomaly. Rolled out across all formats (trailers, overlays, social, livestreams), the kit provides Riot with a modular and cohesive visual base that amplified both the narrative depth and competitive intensity of the Tactician’s Cup.
