An online campaign capturing the sprit of travel and a new way to celebrate Chinese New Year with your family

Context

Inspired by the world of sport and exuding French elegance, the clothing designed by Lacoste is renowned for its iconic, contemporary and urban style. To celebrate Chinese New Year in 2019, the so-called “crocodile brand” wished to stay true to those values while visually incorporating the themes of travel and family. Publicis commissioned NŌBL to create the visual universe of the online campaign associated with the event.

 

Solution

Drawing inspiration from Lacoste’s traditional points of reference ­– sport and fashion – NŌBL created a video telling the story of a young man leaving China with a pile of presents to take to his family in France. As this extended sequence unfolds, it plays with the visual conventions associated with Chinese New Year by giving them a contemporary urban twist. The campaign has been used on the brand’s online stores, for its social media pages and at its boutiques.
